1. Valerie is the second winner of the Miss International beauty contest from Puerto Rico. Laurie Simpson won the title of Miss International in 1987.

2. The model from Puerto Rico has also won Miss Teen International in 2012.

3. The gorgeous model was not the first choice to win the contest. She was chosen to represent her country at Miss International 2014 contest in Japan after the original Miss International Puerto Rico 2014 Patricia Quiñones stepped down from her title for unknown reasons. Valerie was first runner up at the Miss International Puerto Rico 2014 contest.

4. Hernandez is the third black Miss International 2014.

5. Hernandez became emotional and sobbed as she was announced the winner and was crowned by the previous year title winner Bea Santiago of Philippines.

6. According to Valerie's Facebook page, she has studied ballet at Escuela de Bellas Artes de Carolina.

1.       Born in 1992, Strauss is a test tube baby. In fact, she is the first successfully conceived test tube baby of Bloemfontein.

2.      She won her first title at the tender age of 15 when she bagged Elite Model Look South Africa in 2007. She was also one of the top five beauty queens of Miss Africa contest in 2011.

3.      Strauss is the perfect example of beauty with the brains. She is a fourth-year medical student at the University of the Free State and soon will become a doctor, just like her father. QUICK BIOGRAPHY: PAULINA VEGA DIEPPA, MISS UNIVERSE 2014

Beauty Queen PAULINA VEGA DIEPPA who is a Colombian beauty pageant title holder was born on 15th January of 1993. She has been crowned as Miss Colombia 2013 as well as Miss Universe 2014. She is the native of Barranquilla, Colombia. She is the grand-daughter of legendary tenor Gaston Vega. Her parents are Rodolfo Vega Llamas who is a cardiologist and Laura Dieppa. In addition to that, she is also grand-daughter of Elvira Susana Castillo Gomez who was Miss Atlantico 1953. 

Vega is studying the Business Administration at Universidad Javeriana that is located in Bogota, Colombia. Previous to that, she studied at the Colegio Aleman de Barranquilla and she completed her high school from Deutsche Schule Bogota in Bogota. 

At first, Vega participated in Miss Colombia 2013 where she represented Atlantico Department. She won the title of Miss Colombia and also gained the right for representing her country at Miss Universe 2014. Vega competed in it and was announced as the Miss Universe 2014 on 25th January of the year 2015 in Doral, Miami. She got the chance to wear a new crown that is made by Diamonds International Corporation which is a jeweler that is based on Czech. It is the newest official jewelry maker of Miss Universe. 

To talk about her personal life biography, Paulina is currently in relationship with her boyfriend who is an architecture major. Apart from that, Paulina is now at the age of 22 and she has a tall height of five feet and ten inches. Vega is the second woman to who won the title Miss Universe from the country Colombia after a long gap. First was Luz Marina Zuluage in 1958. Vega’s hair is brown in color and her eyes are light brown. She enjoys dancing and loves to spend her time together with her family, friends as well as her dog named Mateo.

PUTERI INDONESIA 2015 QUEENS

The 2015 Puteri Indonesia competition took place at the Plenary Hall of the Jakarta Convention Center on February 20th.  Miss Central Java, 23-year old Anindya Kusuma Putri, beat 36 other contestants for the title and was crowned Puteri Indonesia 2015.

Anyndia, who stands 1.76 m tall, comes from Semarang and was crowned by reigning Miss Universe and special guest Paulina Vega. She will represent her country at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant.

The 1st runner-up was Miss West Kalimantan Chintya Fabiola, who will travel to Tokyo to compete in Miss International 2015 in October; and the 2nd runner-up was Miss North Sulawesi, Gresya Maaliwuga, who will compete in Miss Supranational 2015 to be held later in the year
