1. Born in 1992, Strauss is a test tube baby. In fact, she is the first successfully conceived test tube baby of Bloemfontein.
2. She won her first title at the tender age of 15 when she bagged Elite Model Look South Africa in 2007. She was also one of the top five beauty queens of Miss Africa contest in 2011.
3. Strauss is the perfect example of beauty with the brains. She is a fourth-year medical student at the University of the Free State and soon will become a doctor, just like her father. She had put her studies on hold to pursue her childhood dream of becoming officially the most beautiful woman in the world.
4. She appears to be single. An Instagram lover, Strauss does not seem to be romantically inclined towards anyone. "I definitely don't have a public relationship," told Miss World when quizzed about her dating life in particular.

9. She towers up to 5'9" and is a bilingual beauty, with complete hold over both English and Afrikaans. She wanted to work in health care and towards women welfare in Africa.
10. She is brought up in a close knit family with one younger brother. They used to visit Hartenbos for every December holiday and her favourite food is her mother's home-cooked oxtail with stamp-mielies and that too, made on a special stove which the family owns.
